RESOLUTION NO. XXXX-2024
RESOLUTION OF THE FORT BRAGG CITY COUNCIL ALLOWING FULL-TIME LATERAL EMPLOYMENT TRANSFERS FROM CV STARR CENTER TO CITY OF FORT BRAGG TO GRANT UP TO 40 HOURS OF SICK LEAVE EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 25, 2024 WHEREAS, the City of Fort Bragg took over the operations of CV Starr on February 11, 2024, including employing some District employees employed at CV Starr; and WHEREAS, for the sake of continuity, the City of Fort Bragg wishes to incentivize Full-Time employees to transfer their employment to City of Fort Bragg; and WHEREAS, former district employees will be forfeiting all of their sick time once their employment with CV Starr is terminated and the City of Fort Bragg wishes to create an equitable solution to compensate these employees; and WHEREAS, the City of Fort Bragg wishes to reward employees who have provided dedication and service to the Center; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Fort Bragg hereby grant a one-time forty (40) hours of sick leave for all full-time lateral transfers, specifically, full-time employees who transferred employment from CV Starr to the City of Fort Bragg effective Feb. 25, 2024, and had hours remaining in their sick leave banks.
The above and foregoing Resolution was introduced by Councilmember ________, seconded by Councilmember _______, and passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Fort Bragg held on the 26day of February 2024, by the following vote:
