2024 Calendar Year Stats
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal shelter, originally
founded by a veterinarian, our mission has always
included making veterinary care accessible and
affordable. Our on-site low-cost veterinary clinic
reflects this commitment by providing essential services to pet owners in our community. Due to the lack of
county spay/neuter caravan services on the coast, we are often the only source of affordable veterinary care
available to residents in our region...

Remi Martin
When Remi Martin arrived, she was a rack of
bones! Our vet staff determined that she has
a pancreatic insufficiency that will require
lifelong care, and now she’s thriving in
foster, putting on weight, and waiting for
her forever home. If you’re looking for a
sweet small dog, we’re happy to introduce
you.
Bonnie
Bonnie came to us in active labor—
her owner, who is currently
unhoused, had no safe place for
her to give birth. We stepped in
immediately, placing Bonnie in a
foster home where she could safely
deliver and care for her puppies.
Once her pups are weaned and ready
for adoption, Bonnie will be
spayed and reunited with her
owner.
Tricycle
Tricycle (right) was found as a threemonth-old kitten with a shattered leg; Dr.
Clare amputated it and now he’s living his
best three-legged life with his new friend
Ash (left).
