Good to know the City at least recognizes some of the issues that deter businesses.
This proposal has some issues for sure. Why has this not come to the Community Development Committee, so the public could see and comment before the council takes this action? Seems to be the way many things go lately.
Also does the City Economic Development Strategy still exist? I doubt it is being followed, some of the guidelines require outreach.
I believe it states something like “ get input, do it right “ Another grant funded project on the shelf.
Perhaps the process should be explained for anyone interested what the process should be. Why do we have these committees if they are not doing his work? Don’t forget the Formula Business Ordinance you passed for the Inland zone only. Sends a message loud and clear to chain type businesses, Fort Bragg does not welcome you.
Hardly business friendly.
Please let me know about the Economic Development Strategy.
Would like to know if the grant funds require the city follow it, or just take the money.
