Turning the Tides
City of Fort Bragg
What is Turning the Tides?
Let’s Make Waves of Change!
Turning the Tides is a City initiative to foster pride in our City through volunteer clean-up and community engagement.
By working together, we can protect our environment’s natural beauty while getting to know our neighbors.
To inspire and empower residents, businesses, and community partners to take collective responsibility for maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming Fort Bragg through volunteer action education, and collaboration.
Our Mission
SMALL ACTIONS CAN MAKE BIG IMPACTS
Why Are We Doing This?
There’s an ongoing need for neighborhood clean-ups
There’s community interest in volunteer opportunities
Let’s strengthen our partnerships between businesses, non-profits, agencies, and community members.
Let’s maintain the beauty and character of our neighborhoods.
Let’s foster pride in our community by encouraging ongoing community involvement.
We are not only City Employees, but we are also Community Builders. We set the tone by leading by example.
GOALS
1. Establish an annual community engagement event focused on civic pride and neighborhood improvement.
2. Increase community participation in volunteer clean-up and beautification activities.
3. Reduce litter and neighborhood blight through coordinated volunteer efforts.
4. Support residents who are physically or financially unable to maintain their properties through collaborative assistance efforts.
