Dear Jonathan,
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on your twenty years of employment with the City of Fort Bragg as a member of the Police Department.
In these last two decades, you have come up through the ranks, first working for the City as a Temporary Police Services Technician. You were promoted three years later to Police Officer, promoted again to Police Sergeant in 2015, and finally promoted last fall to Commander. Through the years, you’ve established yourself as a true leader in the department, both in position and practice.
You have shown a commitment to constant improvement, earning your Intermediate and Advanced P.O.S.T. (Police Officers Standards & Training) certificates. Even more impressively, while working for the City, you earned a Bachelor's of Science in Emergency Services Management.
You have served with integrity, compassion, and generosity, in ways that support your fellow officers, while protecting and bolstering our community. You continue to step up when called upon and handle the most challenging of circumstances with grace and empathy.
