RESOLUTION OF THE FORT BRAGG CITY COUNCIL APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH ALPHA CM TO PROVIDE CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE RAW WATER LINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT, CITY PROJECT WTR-00016, AND AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACT (AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $435,501)
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Bragg requires Construction Management services to support completion of the Raw Water Line Replacement Project (WTR-00016); and WHEREAS, the City issued a Request for Proposals on May 4, 2026, and received no proposals by the June 4, 2026 deadline; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Fort Bragg Municipal Code Section 3.20.030(B), professional construction management services may be procured on the basis of demonstrated competence and professional qualifications; and WHEREAS, Alpha CM is a qualified construction management firm with experience in public works and environmentally sensitive infrastructure projects; and WHEREAS, Alpha CM submitted a responsive negotiated proposal dated June __, 2026, for an amount not to exceed $435,501; and WHEREAS, the Raw Water Line Replacement Project is funded by the State Department of Water Resources Urban & Multibenefit Drought Relief Grant, and sufficient funds are available for this contract; and WHEREAS, Construction Management services are not a project under CEQA, and the underlying construction project is covered by the previously adopted 2022 IS/MND.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Fort Bragg does hereby approve a Professional Services Agreement with Alpha CM for Construction Management Services for the Raw Water Line Replacement Project in an amount not to exceed $435,501, and authorizes the City Manager to execute the Agreement.
