RESOLUTION NO. -2026
RESOLUTION OF THE FORT BRAGG MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT BOARD APPROVING CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER WITH AKEFF CONSTRUCTION SERVICES, INC. FOR EMERGENCY SEWER REPAIRS AT NORTH HARBOR DRIVE; APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENT 2026/27-01, AND AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACT (AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $26,510.00) WHEREAS, on Apirl 27, 2026, the District Board awarded the construction contract for the Emergency Sewer Repair project to Akeff Construction in the amount of $19,450.00; and WHEREAS, in order to perform these services, items not listed in the contract including pre-construction investigations and repaving were necessary to complete the project; and WHEREAS, the cost of these additional services was $7,060 bringing the new contract total to $26,510; and WHEREAS, Budget Amendment 2026/27-01 is needed to cover the additional cost; and WHEREAS, this project is categorically exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines 15301 as it involved the repair and maintenance or minor alteration of an existing public structures or facility involving negligible or no expansion of the existing or former use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Fort Bragg Municipal Improvement District Board does hereby approve contract amendment with Akeff Construction, Inc. for the Emergency Sewer Repairs at North Harbor Drive and authorizes the City Manager to execute the same (Amount Not to Exceed $26,510.00); and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Fort Bragg Municipal Improvement District Board does hereby authorize budget amendment 2026/27-01.
