PROCLAMATION
RECOGNIZING HUMAN RESOURCE “HR” PROFESSIONAL DAY WHEREAS, HR Professional Day recognizes the vital contributions of human resource teams every September 26th. The day is dedicated to appreciating their essential work in fostering positive work environments, managing talent, and ensuring employee well-being; and WHEREAS, the vitality of HR Professionals cannot be understated, as they are not only responsible for managing the most valuable asset of any organizations – its people, but also ensure the smooth functioning of workplaces, fostering an environment of inclusion and equal opportunity; and WHEREAS, these dedicated HR Professionals contribute to the success of municipal operations by recruiting and retaining a talented and diverse workforce, developing equitable compensation and benefits systems, fostering professional growth, onboarding new employees, and ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal employment laws; and WHEREAS, on this day, we join the City of Fort Bragg in recognizing the vital importance of Human Resource Professionals and honoring the invaluable work they do; continually strengthening the organization; and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, I, Jason Godeke, Mayor of the City of Fort Bragg, on behalf of the entire City Council, do hereby recognize HR Professional Day on September 26, 2026.
