ROLL Call
The regular meeting of the Fort Jones City Council was called to order in person by Mayor Mercedes Garcia at 6:00pm. In addition to Mayor Mercedes Garcia, Council Members present were Kathye Banks, Mark Eayrs, and Julia Collie-Mason.
Also present: City Clerk Rachel Agron and Public Works Supervisor Everett Hullquist. Interim City Administrator Adam Cox attended remotely.
Mayor Garcia led the flag salute.
PUBLIC COMMENTS:
Michelle DeCausmaker asks whether Alexander LaRiviere has an up-to-date permit to live in SELECTION OF NEW COUNCIL MEMBER:
1. Review letters of interest for vacant Council seat and approve by majority vote:
Mark Eayrs moves to appoint David Barns to the office of City Council Member. Mercedes Garcia seconds.
AYE: None
NO: Mark Eayrs, Kathye Banks, Julia Collie-Mason, Mercedes Garcia.
ABSTAIN: None
Motion fails.
2 Julia Collie-Mason moves to appoint Alexander LaRiviere to the office of City Council Member. Mark Eayrs seconds.
AYE: Mark Eayrs, Kathye Banks, Julia Collie-Mason, Mercedes Garcia.
NO: None
ABSTAIN: None
Motion passes.
2. Administer Oath of Office
Alexander LaRiviere is not present. Adam Cox notes that Alexander LarRiviere needs to be sworn in as soon as possible. Mercedes Garcia offers to schedule a time.

3. City Clerk Job Description
Mark Eayrs moves to accept the job description with the following amendments: That "GRE" be changed to "GED," and that "City" be changed to "Town." Kathye Banks seconds.

ABSTAIN: None
Motion passes.
Mercedes Garcia directs Rachel Agron to keep a binder of job descriptions and adoption dates.
