CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL:
The special meeting of the Fort Jones Town Council was called to order in person by Mayor Mercedes Garcia at 12:30 p.m. In addition to the mayor, councilmembers present were Kathye Banks, Mark Eayrs, and Alex LaRiviere.

1. Resolution 1129 – Stipend for Interim Town Administrator Public Comments: None
Motion: Eayrs moves to approve Resolution 1129 approving a monthly stipend of $1500 for the Interim Town Administrator.

2. Appointment of Town Clerk – Melissa Mitrevski

Motion: Banks moves to appoint Melissa Mitrevski at the Town Clerk.

3. Approve Compensation for Town Clerk.

Motion: Banks moves to approve a starting wage of $20.00 per hour for the Town Clerk.

STAFF COMMENTS:
Melissa Mitrevski states that she cannot wait to start work.
COUNCIL COMMENTS:
Kathye Banks stated that she attended the local JPA meeting in Yreka. She informed the council that new people will be taking over the Yreka Transfer Station and the city of Yreka has a new Air Curtain Burner that burns green waste without putting pollutants into the air.
ADJOURNMENT:
The meeting was adjourned at 12:43 p.m. The next regular town council meeting is scheduled to be held on July 8th, 2024, at 7:00 p.m.
