I, Michelle DeCausmaker, Pro Tem Mayor for the Town of Fort Jones, hereby certify that the agenda for the Aug. 25, 2025 special meeting of the Town Council was posted Ace Hardware, on the front window of the Fort Jones Post Office, Ray’s Food Place and I, Cynthia Keno, Customer Service Clerk, for the Town of Fort Jones posted the agenda on Town Hall, near the door of the Town Council Chambers and the Town’s website www.fortjonesca.org on Aug. 23, 2025 before 6:00 p.m.

CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL:
The special meeting of the Fort Jones Town Council was called to order on Zoom by Mayor Madeleine DeAndreis at 9:45 a.m.. In addition to the mayor, council members present were Michelle DeCausmaker, Alex LaRiviere, and Paula Johnson.
Staff present: Andrew Jared– Town Attorney by Zoom and teleconference, Everett Hullquist – Public Works.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Led by Mayor DeAndreis
PUBLIC COMMENTS: NONE
ADJOURN TO CLOSED DOOR SESSION:
Open meeting was adjourned to closed session at 10:00 a.m..
CLOSED DOOR SESSION:
1. The town council met pursuant to Government Code § 54957 (b)(1) Public Employee Appointment; Position: Town Administrator
RETURN TO OPEN SESSION:
The town council returned to open session at 11:05 a.m.
REPORT ON CLOSED SESSION: (Any action taken will be reported in open session) Andrew Jared- Town Attorney by Zoom and Teleconference reported that Cherie Stephen is on administrator leave.
