SUBJECT: Council Review and Discussion of Commission/Committee Applications and Mayor’s Appointment of Seats
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Review applications for the Planning Commission and Measure E Oversight Committee. Discuss and consider approving the Mayor’s appointments for 2022.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Below is a list of the City Commission and Committee that currently have open seats. A copy of the applications received for each are attached for review.
Planning Commission:
One (1) of the seven Planning Commissioner seats and one (1) Alternate seat are vacant as of December 31, 2021 and the City received one application from Michael Kein.
The term of office for Planning Commissioner is three (3) years and if selected, the appointment will expire on December 31, 2024.
Measure E Oversight Committee:
Two (2) of the seven Measure E Oversight committee seats are vacant as of December 31, 2021 and the City has received three applications from Christina Mobley, Martin Morris, and Amanda Phillips.
The term of office for Measure E Oversight Committee Members is two (2) years and if selected, the appointment will expire on December 31, 2023.
RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION:
1. Receive staff report and review Council questions with staff.
2. Open Public Comment
3. Close Public Comment
4. Mayor recommends Commission/Committee appointments to the Council.
5. Motion to approve the Mayor’s appointments. Roll Call vote.
