SUBJECT: Approval of Professional Services Contract Task Order for the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Compliance Project (Capital Improvement Project 0171)
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Review staff report for approval of a professional services task order for the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Compliance Project (CIP# 0171).
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City has an on call contract with GHD Inc. for various professional services, including wastewater design. Staff is requesting the use of this on call contract to perform an engineering analysis required to support the NPDES Compliance Project (CIP 0171). This analysis is being required by the Regional Water Quality Control Board in order to obtain a permit for the proposed effluent reuse location. A copy of the task order and scope can be found in Attachment A.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
This project is being funded with Wastewater Capital Reserves (Fund 560). This project is budgeted in the FY 2021/2022 Capital Improvement Program. The overall project is budgeted at $2,000,000 for engineering analysis and design.
The total proposed fee by GHD for this effort is $118,200, which will be the task order not to exceed amount. This additional effort during this fiscal year will not impact the overall budgeted amount for this project.
