SUBJECT: Council Review and Discussion of Commission Applications and Mayor’s Appointment of Seats
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Review applications for the Historical Commission. Discuss and consider approving the Mayor’s appointments for 2022.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Below is the current Historical Commission open seats. A copy of the applications received are attached for review.
Historical Commission:
Three (3) of the five Historical Commissioner seats are vacant as of December 31, 2021 and the City received four applications: Ruth Dekat, Susan O’Hara, Eldon Whitehead, & Pam Zana.
The term of office for Historical Commissioners are three (3) years and if selected, the appointments will expire on December 31, 2024.
RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION:
1. Receive staff report and review Council questions with staff.
2. Open Public Comment
3. Close Public Comment
4. Mayor recommends Commission appointments to the Council.
5. Motion to approve the Mayor’s appointments. Roll Call vote.
