SUBJECT: Approve Appointments to Fortuna Business Improvement District (FBID) Board of Directors
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Approve appointments to FBID Board of Directors, as recommended below.
BACKGROUND:
Fortuna Municipal Code Title 5, Chapter 5.40, establishes the Fortuna Business Improvement District (FBID), provides procedures for benefit assessment, and establishes a seven-member Advisory Committee, or Board of Directors. The Fortuna City Council shall approve all nominations to the Advisory Committee.
On February 2, 2022, Emily Hobelmann, FBID Board President, provided a letter requesting the appointment of Amanda Phillips as the representative to the open City-Wide seat.
If approved, she would serve a two-year term from February 22, 2022 through February 22, 2024.
RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION:
Approve the appointment of Amanda Phillips as the City-Wide representative. Consent Agenda vote.
