SUBJECT: River Lodge Conference Center and Fortuna Monday Club Monthly Report for May 2022
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Receive report as an informational item.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The River Lodge and Monday Club held a total of 35 events in the month of May. Events included 3 monthly meetings, a baby shower, a vow renewal, 2 First Communion celebrations, a Celebration of Life, and a funeral reception. The Dairy Princess Contest returned to River Lodge and Rotary 5130 held a big 2-day event that included an old car show in the parking lot. Fortuna Union High School held their Senior Ball & Banquet at River Lodge and Academy of the Redwoods finished out the school year with a prom at River Lodge. There were 2 Rotary luncheon meetings and COVID testing through Department of Health & Human Services took place on 2 days. CalFire met for 3 training days at River Lodge and The Fortuna Concert Series played at the Monday Club.
Graduation season is upon us and we hosted one elementary school 8th Grade graduation and 2 Grad Parties in May. Chamber has returned to in-person meetings at the Monday Club on Mondays.
