SUBJECT: Police Department Monthly Report for June 2022 STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Receive report as an informational item.
Patrol Statistics:
During the month of June 2022, the Fortuna Police handled 1,494 calls for service. 60 arrests were made during the month of June, including 12 felony arrests and 48 misdemeanor arrests. 54 citations were issued for traffic offenses or other miscellaneous violations. Staffing:
Staffing levels were impacted during the month of June. The police department is working to replace existing vacancies, which include:
One sworn police officer positions, and
One Public Safety Dispatcher.
The remaining vacant police officer position is nearly filled. A lateral candidate is in the final stages of the background investigation phase. Three Public Safety Dispatcher candidates are scheduled to be interviewed.
Employee of the Month:
During the month of June, Police Sergeant Gabe Charlton received the department’s “Employee of the Month” award for his adaptability, hard work, and commitment to the department and community.
