This is a one-time fleet expansion project recognizing matching grant funds from the 2022, USDA Community Facilities Grant.
Fortuna Police Department
The current shortage of police vehicle’s created by supply chain shortages and over ordering has effectively established a procurement moratorium throughout the United States. This moratorium has halted the City’s attempt to utilize matching funds from the 2022 USDA Community Facilities Grant to expand the current police department fleet by four (4) vehicles. Staff checked with the current DGS State contract bid winner who has no Tahoes or Ford’s in stock and ordering at the current time is not possible. Currently, Future Chevrolet Fleet Center is the only know dealer with four (4) Chevrolet Tahoe police Vehicles in stock and ready for delivery.
