SUBJECT: River Lodge Conference Center and Fortuna Monday Club Monthly Report for July 2023
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Receive report as an informational item.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The River Lodge and Monday Club held a total of 15 events in the month of July.
The Ferndale Chapter #23 Royal Order of the Eastern Star held a reception at River Lodge with 200 people in attendance. The host, Nancy Bay, was thrilled with the way everything turned out.
Fortuna High Class of 1973 held their 50th Class Reunion at River Lodge in the Coho Room. They hired a taco truck to come instead of having it catered. This was not the first time a group has opted for a food truck. It’s an exciting new trend.
The Sock Hop during Auto Xpo returned after a four-year break. It was well attended and guests really seemed to enjoy themselves.
There was a large family reunion held at River Lodge and a memorial for a well-known Ferndale couple.
The Monday Club was rented for two baby showers and a family reunion. It was also host to the regularly scheduled monthly meetings that take place there.
