SUBJECT: Council Review and Approval of Commission/Committee Applications and Mayor’s Appointment of Seats
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Review applications for the Rohner Community Recreation and Parks District (RCRPD), Historical Committee, and Planning Commission. Consider approving the Mayor’s appointments for 2023.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Below is a list of the City Commissions and Committees that currently have open seats. A copy of the applications received for each are attached for review.
Rohner Community Recreation and Parks District:
One (1) of the five seats are vacant as of October 2, 2023 and the City received one application from Cameron Mull.
The term of office for Rohner Community Recreation and Parks District is at the Mayors discretion and has no specific limit.
Historical Commission:
Two (2) of the five Historical Commissioner seats are vacant as of December 31, 2023 and the City received two applications: Doug Strehl (re-appointment) and Michael Murray (reappointment).
The term of office for Historical Commissioners are three (3) years and if selected, the appointments will expire on December 31, 2026.
Planning Commission:
Two (2) seats and one (1) Alternate seat is vacant. The terms of office for Planning Commissioners are four (4) years and if selected, the appointments will expire on December 31, 2027.
The City received one (1) applications: Kris Mobley (re-appointment).

Consent Agenda Item 4e
Motion to Approve Mayors Appointments for Committees/Commissions. Consent Calendar vote.
