SUBJECT: River Lodge Conference Center and Fortuna Monday Club Monthly Report for December 2023

Receive report as an informational item.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
December is traditionally a very busy month for The Monday Club and River Lodge. There was a total of 28 events for the two facilities.
The month started with the Annual City of Fortuna Breakfast at River Lodge. The attendance was down from last year, but everyone enjoyed the good food and good company of their coworkers.
There were five meetings held at The Monday Club in December and one at River Lodge.
Holiday Celebrations were held by Southern Humboldt AA, Humboldt Sponsors, Humboldt Petroleum, and Humboldt Builder’s Exchange at River Lodge. These were large events, and all of the groups have booked for December 2024.
Eel River Valley Youth Football held an awards banquet two nights in a row at River Lodge. One night was to honor the cheerleaders and the other was to honor the football players.
River Lodge staff catered four luncheons in December. Two of the groups, Kiwanis and The Red Hat Ladies return every year for their annual Christmas get-together.
The Fortuna Garden Club held its annual Christmas Home Tour in December. Refreshments are served at the Monday Club after the tour along with door prize drawings.
The Fortuna Music Festival was held at River Lodge on Sunday, December 10, 2023. The attendance was fantastic. The seats were full and people were standing in the back of the room.
Four local schools, Walker Elementary, Ambrosini Elementary, Redwood Preparatory, and Cuddeback Elementary, held their holiday performances at River Lodge Consent Item 4h
