RESOLUTION 2024-01
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORTUNA
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPLY FOR REGIONAL EARLY
ACTION PLANNING GRANT
WHEREAS, the Humboldt County Association of Governments (HCAOG) is administering the Regional Early Action Planning Grant (REAP); and
WHEREAS, the City may apply for grant funds and technical assistance to support planning efforts that will stimulate housing production; and
WHEREAS, the City's efforts on the Mill Site Specific Plan and traffic analysis meet the objectives of the REAP Program; and
WHEREAS, the traffic analysis will provide a basis to evaluate impacts of vehicle miles traveled as required California Environmental Quality Act Analysis for various housing scenarios, and will include analysis of the planned growth of the City with and without and the Mill Site; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fortuna authorizes the submittal of sub-allocation requests to HCAOG for REAP grants for which The City of Fortuna is eligible; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager, or their designee, is hereby authorized and empowered to execute in the name of the City of Fortuna all grant documents, including but not limited to, applications, agreements, amendments and requests for payment, necessary to secure grant funds and implement the approved grant project PASSED and ADOPTED on this 16th day of January 2024, by the following roll call vote:
