SUBJECT: Revise Measure E Committee Bylaws - Meeting Date Schedule, Resolution 2024-07
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Resolution 2024-07; Establishing the Duties, Responsibilities, and Terms of the Measure “E” Independent Community Oversight Committee, including an amended meeting schedule.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On March 20, 2017, the City Council adopted a resolution outlining the duties and responsibilities of the Measure E Committee, commonly known as the Measure E Committee Bylaws, and provided direction to staff as to the contents of the resolution.
At the Measure E meeting on March 19, 2024, the committee discussed and recommended staff make the following changes to the regular meeting dates of the committee moving forward:
- Eliminate the regular meeting scheduled for the third Tuesday in December.
The City has cancelled this meeting the last two years primarily due to the difficulty in getting a quorum with the proximity to Christmas. Additionally, with the Measure E committee having a regular meeting scheduled for January it is feasible for the City to combine the information and material from the December meeting into the January meeting without overloading the meeting agenda.

1. Receive staff presentation and review Committee questions with staff

3. Close Public Comments
4. Adopt Resolution 2024-07; A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Fortuna Establishing the Duties, Responsibilities, and Terms of the Measure “E” Independent Community Oversight Committee Including an Amended Meeting Schedule. Voice Vote.
