3. DISCUSSION ITEM
a. Transactions and Use Tax Measure
Minutes:
City Manager Merritt Perry provided a staff report for the Council to consider transactions and use tax measures. Finance Director Aaron Felmlee provided a budget overview in regards to a tax measure. PUBLIC COMMENTS:
Sue Long - Expressed concern regarding a tax measure and understood the City's need for the measure, however, she expressed concern about inflation and questioned who on the Council would put in the work to campaign for a successful measure. She expressed doubt that the measure would pass at this election.
Michelle Bushnell -Humboldt County 2nd District Supervisor -Requested the Council to consider that the County would be placing a road tax on the same November ballot.
There being no additional public comments, Mayor Trent closed the public comment sections.
