SUBJECT: River Lodge Conference Center Monthly Report for December, 2024 STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Receive report as an informational item.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
River Lodge Rentals:
During the month of December, River Lodge held a total of 21 events. These 21 events occupied the facility for a total of 19 days. Over the span of the 19 days, approximately 2,258 people occupied the building for these events.
• There were five holiday parties held.
• Four local schools held their winter programs at River Lodge. • River Lodge catered three luncheons in celebration of the holidays. • Two large award banquets were held for a local youth sports participants. • The City of Fortuna held its annual recognition luncheon. • In addition to the above listed events, there was a birthday celebration, a baby shower, a memorial, and two meetings.
RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION:

SUBJECT: River Lodge Conference Center Monthly Report for January, 2025 STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Receive report as an informational item.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
River Lodge Rentals:
During the month of January, River Lodge held a total of 11 events. These 11 events occupied the facility for a total of 13 days. Over the span of the 13 days, approximately 1,180 people occupied the building for these events.
• There was one holiday party held.
• CALFIRE held trainings on three different days at River Lodge. • California Conservation Corps held their annual job fair at River Lodge. • There was one travel show.
• There were two private meetings in the Fireside Room. • The Fortuna Sunrise Rotary held the annual Seafood Boil.
River Lodge Events
The River Lodge held the “Before I Do”, wedding show in January. The event was attended by approximately 125 brides and grooms, and their guests. This year, more than 30 vendors were showcased. As a result of the show, River Lodge acquired two future bookings.
