City Council Questions
Applicants will be asked to provide a two-minute overview about themselves and why they are interested in serving on the City Council.
1. Can you share an example of a difficult decision you’ve had to make in a leadership or professional role, where the ethical choice wasn’t necessarily the easiest or most popular? How did you approach it, and what was the outcome?
2. How would you approach economic development in order to increase revenue for the City of Fortuna? What would you do differently than what is currently being done to increase revenue?
3. What is your vision for Fortuna?
4. Frequently, the City Council is called upon to attend special meetings to make policy decisions outside of regular scheduled meetings. Regular meetings are on the first and third Mondays of the month. Special meetings include items like the fee schedule and budget. How will you prioritize your role with the City Council and your other commitments?
