Humboldt Association of Realtors - Community Impact
As the largest trade organization in Humboldt County, HAR represents over 450 members and more than 50 affiliate partners. Beyond its core mission of advocating for property rights and monitoring legislative developments at the state and local levels, HAR is deeply committed to community engagement through various committees and outreach programs.

One of the current standout initiatives is the HAR Cares for Youth program. This committee focuses on supporting underprivileged youth aged 0-21 by providing essential resources such as food, clothing, educational materials, and emergency assistance. Notably, the annual Backpack Drive aims to distribute over 200 backpacks filled with school supplies to children in need across Humboldt County.

I was heavily involved in HAR's past program Toys for Kids, collecting and distributing holiday gifts to local families. These efforts are part of HAR's broader commitment to community service, which includes fundraising events such as the Quarter Craze and Bowling Tournament, with all proceeds benefiting local youth organizations and the Scholarship Program available to graduating high school students entering the real estate field.

Throughout my career, I have actively participated in these community initiatives, collaborating with builders, county planners, and engineers on projects like the land inventory for the county's General Plan update. My involvement with HAR has not only deepened my understanding of property rights issues but also reinforced my dedication to serving and uplifting our local communities.
