SUBJECT: Authorize a Utility Distribution Easement Deed to Pacific Gas & Electric Company for a Power Upgrade at the Fortuna Police Department, Resolution 2025-23
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Authorize the execution of a Utility Distribution Easement Deed to Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E), on the grounds of the Fortuna’s police facility, for a power upgrade.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
During construction on the new police facility, the power supply was upgraded to three-phase 480 volts. As a result, PG&E installed a new transformer on the property for which an easement is required to house and access the infrastructure for maintenance.
Upon approval of an Easement Deed, staff will execute and record the easement agreement with PG&E.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The financial impact will be approximately $100 from the General Fund 100, for filing fees with the County Recorder’s Office.
RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION:
Motion to approve Resolution 2025-23 and authorize the execution of a Utility Distribution Easement Deed, to PG&E, on the grounds of the new police facility. Consent Agenda vote.
