City of Fortuna Revenue Generation Ad Hoc Committee Update and Discussion
Minutes:
STAFF REPORT: Finance Director Aaron Felmlee and City Manger Amy Nilsen, provided a staff report and presentation on the City of Fortuna Revenue Generation Ad Committee. PUBLIC COMMENT: Connie Decoe-Munier, Sandy Dale, Sue Long. There being no additional comments from the public, Mayor Johnson closed the public comments. CITY COUNCIL ACTION: Council Member Conley moved, seconded by Council Member Diaz, to direct staff to return with an enhanced investment plan for the River Lodge, including physical upgrades and including marketing. STAFF REPORT: Public Works Director, Brian Issa, provided an brief history and staff report on the River Lodge staining project. PUBLIC COMMENT: There being no additional comments from the public, Mayor Johnson closed the public comment section.
CITY COUNCIL ACTION: Council Member Diaz moved, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Trent, to Authorize the City Manager to award the River Lodge Exterior Staining Project to Hamanaka Painting Co. and establish a not to exceed contract amount of $190,000 AYES: Council Members Conley, Diaz, Mayor Pro Tem Trent, Mayor Johnson. NOES: Council Member Stevens ABSTAIN: None MOTION CARRIED: 4/1

COUNCIL ACTION: Council Member Conley moved, seconded by Council Member Diaz to have staff return with a Supplemental Budget Request indicating a specific amount to pay for a consultant to facilitate a public meeting to allow input on the potential of allowing cannabis industry within the City of Fortuna.
