Dear Mayor of Fortuna and Fortuna City Council –
I write this email in support of the City continuing ownership of the Riverlodge. Under the current ownership, the Riverlodge provides a venue for fundraisers that is convenient, cost effective, and run by flexible staff that always put in extra effort for our causes. I have been a part of many fundraisers held at Riverlodge that would not have been as successful if not for the partnership with the City of Fortuna.
I believe a City should be supportive of non-profits that are invested in community development within the footprint of the City. I am not confident that the change in ownership to a for profit third party company will continue the support in the same fashion.
