Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 2025-779 Amending the Fortuna Municipal Code Title 17, Zoning Regulations, Chapters 17.03, 17.06, and 17.08 to Implement the 6th Cycle Housing Element, AND Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 2025-780 to Amend Fortuna Municipal Code Title 17, Section 17.02.030, Zoning Map, to Adopt the Qualified Combining Zone to Implement the 6th Cycle Housing Element and Mill District Specific Plan Minutes:
STAFF REPORT: Senior Planner Michelle Nielsen from Planwest Partners Inc. provided a staff report on Ordinance 2025-779 amending chapters 17.03,
17.06, and 17.08 of the Municipal Code and Ordinance 2025-780 amending Section 17.02.030 of the Municipal Code (Zoning Map) and Section 17.04.090 (Qualified combining zone).
PUBLIC COMMENT: There being no comments from the public, Mayor Johnson closed the public comment section.
CITY COUNCIL ACTION: Council Member Conley moved, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Trent to hold a second reading and adopt Ordinance 2025-779, an Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Fortuna to amend Fortuna Municipal Code Title 17, Zoning Regulations, Chapters 17.03, 17.06, and 17.08 to implement the 6th Cycle Housing Element and find the Amendments to be exempt from additional California environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Review Pursuant to Public Resources Code and CEQA Guidelines.
