Public Hearing: Introduction and First Reading of Ordinance 2026-781 Amendments to the Fortuna Zoning Map
Minutes:
STAFF REPORT: Senior Planner Michelle Nielsen from Planwest Partners Inc. provided a staff report on Ordinance 2026-781 Amending Section 17.02.030 of the Municipal Code (Zoning Map) to implement and ensure consistency with the Fortuna General Plan Land Use Element amendments and the Mill District Specific Plan as adopted in February 2025.
PUBLIC COMMENT: There being no comments from the public, Mayor Johnson closed the public comment section.
CITY COUNCIL ACTION: Council Member Diaz moved, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Trent to introduce and conduct the first reading of Ordinance 2026-781, an Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Fortuna Certifying Compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act, and Amending Section 17.02.030 of the Municipal Code (Zoning Map) to Implement General Plan Land Use Amendments and the Mill District Specific Plan and continue the public hearing to the next regular meeting for the second reading and adoption.
