SUBJECT: Revise Measure E Committee Bylaws - Meeting Date Schedule, Resolution 2026-01
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Resolution 2026-01; Establishing the Duties, Responsibilities, and Terms of the Measure “E” Independent Community Oversight Committee, including an amended meeting schedule.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On March 20, 2017, the City Council adopted a resolution outlining the duties and responsibilities of the Measure E Committee, commonly known as the Measure E Committee Bylaws, and provided direction to staff as to the contents of the resolution.
At the Measure E meeting on January 21, 2026, the committee discussed and recommended staff make the following changes to the regular meeting dates of the committee moving forward:
- Change the Regular Meeting dates from the third Wednesday in January, third Tuesday in March and September, and first Tuesday in April to the second Wednesday in January, April, and October and the third Wednesday in April.
This change will facilitate a more consistent schedule by keeping all meeting dates to the same day of the week.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution 2026-01; A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Fortuna Establishing the Duties, Responsibilities, and Terms of the Measure “E” Independent Community Oversight Committee Including an Amended Meeting Schedule. Consent Agenda vote.
