SUBJECT: Approval of Donated Stage Project in Rohner Park STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Accept the donation of a new stage in Rohner Park and authorize the Parks and Recreation Director to collaborate with Fortuna Noon Rotary regarding stage specifications.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Following the 2025 Special Event season, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, Fortuna Noon Rotary, and the City of Fortuna discussed adding a stage in Rohner Park to better support live music and community events such as Movies in the Park. Fortuna Noon Rotary confirmed its support and willingness to execute the project. In December 2025, the Parks and Recreation Commission reviewed the proposal and expressed consensus in support. Prior to proceeding with planning, staff seeks City Council approval.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact.
RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION:
Approve Staff’s recommendation to accept the donation of a new stage in Rohner Park and authorize the Parks and Recreation Director to collaborate with Fortuna Noon Rotary regarding stage specifications. Consent Agenda vote.
