SUBJECT: Approve the Part-Time Pay Rate Schedule for Fiscal Year 2026-27, Resolution 2026-22
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the City Council approve the Part-time Pay Rate Schedule, by adopting Resolution 2026-22.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Annually the City is required to adopt a schedule of positions and the related classifications and pay, including part-time positions. The Fiscal Year (FY) 2026-27 Part-Time Pay Rate Schedule is included here as Attachment “A” to Resolution 2026-22.
In addition, for regular part-time employees, the City will provide a one-time $3,000 retention stipend to be paid in two equal lump sum installment payments of $1,500 – the first payment in the last pay period of July and the second payment in the first pay period of December. In order to receive the installment payment, an employee must be currently employed by the City and either scheduled for active shifts or be on paid leave as of the beginning of the applicable pay period referenced above.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The fiscal impacts associated with the Part-Time Classification and Pay Rate Schedule were incorporated into the FY 2026-27 Adopted Budget.
RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION:
Motion to adopt Resolution 2026-22. Consent Agenda vote.
