Computer/Network
Staff continue to obtain quotes from qualified firms to replace the obsolete phone system currently being used by the City. The City’s technical infrastructure and network is complex and will require a unique skill set and knowledge for a successful transition. Currently there are four potential firms working on providing quotes. As an update, support staff anticipate all quotes will be received by the end of September.
Staff have been meeting with the City’s current mobile and data providers to evaluate available options and identify potential cost savings. These efforts aim to reduce the City’s overall telecommunications expenses while ensuring reliable service and meeting the City’s ongoing communication needs.
City staff continue to work collaboratively with Nylex to meet the City’s ongoing technical needs.
