MINUTES
CALL TO ORDER OF CITY COUNCIL/EMID BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Special Meeting of December 19, 2022 of the City Council of the City of Foster City, sitting as said Council and as ex officio the Board of Directors of the Estero Municipal Improvement District (EMID), was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Mayor/President Jon Froomin.
Pursuant to Governor Newsom’s Executive Order N-29-20, as amended through Order N-08-21, the meeting was held as a hybrid meeting.
ROLL CALL
The Deputy City Clerk/Recording Secretary called the roll:
PRESENT: Councilmembers/ex officio Directors Sam Hindi, Stacy Jimenez, Art Keisel, Patrick Sullivan, and Mayor/President Jon Froomin.
ABSENT: None.
STAFF PRESENT: Stefan Chatwin, City/District Manager; Denise Bazzano, City Attorney; Edmund Suen, Finance Director; Julie Paping, Principal Management Analyst; and Yelena Cappello, Deputy City Clerk/ Recording Secretary.
RESOLUTIONS FOR ADOPTION
GRANT LETTER OF AGREEMENT WITH GILEAD SCIENCES FOUNDATION, INC.
AND THE RECEIPT OF GRANT FUNDING. CITY RESOLUTION NO. 2022-143. EMID RESOLUTION NO. 3698.
Principal Management Analyst Paping presented the staff report.
Discussion ensued.
Motion by Vice Mayor/Vice President Sullivan, seconded by Councilmember/Director Hindi, and carried unanimously, 5-0-0, adopting City Resolution No. 2022-143, “A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Foster City Authorizing the City Manager to Execute the Grant Letter of Agreement with the Gilead Sciences Foundation, Inc. and the Receipt of Grant Funding in the Amount of $500,000 to Account No. 301-0000-369-1608” and EMID Resolution No. 3698 “A Resolution of the Board of Directors of the Estero Municipal Improvement District Authorizing the District Manager to Execute the Grant Letter of Agreement With the Gilead Sciences Foundation, Inc. and the Receipt of Grant Funding in the Amount of $500,000 to Account No. 301-0000-369-1608.”
ADJOURNMENT
Hearing no objection from the City Council/EMID Board, Mayor/President Froomin adjourned the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 5:39 p.m.
