A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO. 1 IN THE AMOUNT OF $21,300 WITH CAGWIN AND DORWARD INC. FOR EXPANDED SCOPE
OF WORK FOR RESTORATION OF GATESHEAD PARK AND FINDING THE
PROJECT CATEGORICALLY EXEMPT FROM REVIEW UNDER THE CALIFORNIA
ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT (CEQA) PURSUANT TO CEQA GUIDELINES SECTION 15304
CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, on February 8, 2023 the City Manager executed a Professional Services Agreement with Cagwin and Dorward for the Repair, and Landscaping for Gateshead Park Restoration for the City of Foster City for a maximum amount not to exceed $49,050 (“Agreement”); and
WHEREAS, the original amount of the Agreement was within the City Manager’s authority under the City’s Purchasing Policy; and
WHEREAS, following the execution of the agreement dated February 8, 2023 Cagwin and Dorward has identified the need to further expand the scope of work to restore Gateshead Park due to unanticipated drainage work necessary to maintain Gateshead Park; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foster City does hereby finds that the approval of this amendment is categorically exempt from review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15304 (Class 4), minor alterations in the conditions of land not involving removal of trees.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the City Council hereby approves and authorizes the Mayor to execute Contract Amendment No. 1, dated December 18, 2023, to the current Agreement with Cagwin and Dorward Inc. for an additional amount of $21,300 and a total not to exceed amount of $71,350.
