CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, a priority for Foster City is to take efficient actions that enhance neighborhood livability and quality of place for current and future generations, specifically through development of a legislative advocacy program for Foster City that advances City Council's goals and policies; and
WHEREAS, Renne Public Policy Group (RPPG) is a full-service lobbying and consulting practice firm based in Sacramento that strives to represent the policy interests of public agencies, and those organizations who align with public entities; and WHEREAS, RPPG provides its clients with a keen understanding of California's evolving legislative and political landscape, which is critical when making policy decisions; and

WHEREAS, RPPG has been instrumental in assisting the City with strengthening its legislative advocacy program as well as securing State and Federal grant funding, most notably $676K in amount of funds that were secured in previously promised Vehicle License Fees (VLF) in the FY 2023-2024 Budget that were owed to the City; and WHEREAS, RPPG played a significant role in engaging with the City Council and staff to develop Foster City’s 2024 Legislative Platform and Policy, which is an important component of the City’s overall legislative advocacy program; and WHEREAS, significant efforts have been made to further the City's public policy advocacy positions on priority bills as RPPG has proactively tracked legislation and kept 1 7
