A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ISSUE THE REQUEST FOR
CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE RECREATION CENTER REBUILD PROJECT (CIP 301-678) (CEQA STATUS: ADOPTED IS/MND)
CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, the City of Foster City wishes to seek qualified contractors to construct the Recreation Center Rebuild Project (CIP 301-678); and WHEREAS, the project is currently in the construction document development phase and the final plans, specifications, and estimate is anticipated to be completed in May 2024; and
WHEREAS, the estimated bidding period is June – August 2024; and WHEREAS, the bidding phase can be streamlined by prequalifying contractors, which is a common practice for major projects; and
WHEREAS, the prequalification process will ensure that bidding contractors have the capacity, financial soundness and demonstrated expertise to execute the Recreation Center Rebuild Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foster City does hereby approve the Request for Contractor Qualifications for the Recreation Center Rebuild Project (CIP 301-678) and authorize staff to issue the Request for Contractor Qualifications.
