Request to Place Item on Future Agenda

RE: Establishing new policy on agendizing an item for Council Meeting Description of Request:
(Briefly describe your request. Please be clear so that your fellow Councilmembers, staff, and members of the public understand the request. This information will also provide guidance to staff should the request receive majority support and the item be placed on a future agenda.) The current method to agendizing and item has created some confusion. The method seems to confuse staff, council, and maybe the public.
Not always but most of time when a subject is brought up it starts conversation. That has no staff or reports attached. But goes no where.
How do you believe this item should be prioritized?
(i.e. What date do you believe the item should be brought back for Council consideration?) I think this item should be brought back as soon as reasonable. The current method allows the Council or the public to bring anything back every seven days.
In pass it was handled under Council request or maybe maybe a Public Comment from a concered citizen

First of all by streamling it would put less work on staff and help to prevent confusion on item It will help the public and Council to get their voices heard quicker without causing two meeting or more.
Without better policy our current method allows something to be brought up over and over again Service is part of our Mission Statement as well as smart planning, fiscal stability, and full transparency. | look forward to working together--building team with having the ability to get started through agenda not just written request
