A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY
APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CALL
FOR BIDS FOR THE EDGEWATER PARK SOFTBALL AND SOCCER SYNTHETIC RESURFACING PROJECT (CIP 301-712) AND FINDING THAT THE PROJECT IS
CATEGORICALLY EXEMPT PURSUANT TO THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT (CEQA) SECTION 15061 (B)(3) AND 15301(C) – EXISTING FACILITIES
CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, Plans and Specifications for the Edgewater Park Softball and Soccer Synthetic Resurfacing Project (CIP 301-712) have been completed and are ready for bid; and
WHEREAS, CIP 301-712 involves resurfacing the softball and soccer field at Edgewater Park; and
WHEREAS, total funding in the amount of $900,000 is available in the approved project budget for design and construction; and
WHEREAS, based on the Engineer’s Estimate, additional funding may be needed, but will be brought to City Council following the results of the bid; and WHEREAS, construction is anticipated to begin in July 2024 to meet recreation needs requirements; and
WHEREAS, the project is categorically exempt under CEQA Sections 15301 – Existing Facilities and 15061(b)(3) pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foster City does hereby approve the plans and specifications and authorize the call for bids for the Edgewater Park Softball and Soccer Synthetic Resurfacing Project (CIP 301-712). 1 9
