A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR A NUTANIX
HYPERCONVERGED SERVER
CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, server virtualization has been used since 2006 as a way to provide reliability and flexibility while also shrinking data center hardware requirements; and WHEREAS, the City has used Nutanix hardware and software for virtualization since 2016; and
WHEREAS, the existing Nutanix server was purchased in January 2020 and is due for replacement; and
WHEREAS, the Request for Proposals has been prepared and is ready to be issued; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in the Information Technology Internal Services Fund (#504).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foster City does hereby authorize the issuance a Request for Proposals for a Nutanix Hyperconverged Server.
PASSED AND ADOPTED as a resolution of the City Council of the City of Foster City at the regular meeting held on the 15th day of April, 2024, by the following vote:
