ACCOMPLISHMENTS, AND GOALS FOR 2024
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council, by Minute Order, accept the Citizens Sustainability Advisory Committee (CSAC) 2023 Year End Report, Mission Statement, and Goals for 2024.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Citizens Sustainability Advisory Committee has prepared a written Year-End Report for 2023 and Goals for 2024 and reviewed its Mission Statement for the City Council's review and acceptance.
BACKGROUND/ANALYSIS
Pursuant to Minute Order No. 802, each citizen-advisory committee must prepare a written year-end report, review its mission statement, and prepare a written annual goals/work program for the upcoming year for presentation to the City Council at a City Council meeting in the first quarter of each year. This report was delayed due to Committee and Staff work on the Draft Climate Action Plan Update and preparations for Earth Day celebrations.

4 CSAC’s Mission Statement for 2024 is unchanged from 2023 and is as follows: The Citizens Sustainability Advisory Committee shall advise the City Council on sustainability issues facing Foster City regarding Environmental, Economic, or Social sustainability and research, review, and provide comments on proposed programs and initiatives.
At its March 13, 2024 Regular Meeting, the Citizens Sustainability Advisory Committee Members approved Goals for 2024.
