A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY TO
AUTHORIZE THE AWARD OF AN AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
WITH WRT DESIGN, LLC FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PARKS MASTER PLAN (CIP 301-682) FOR NOT-TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $419,949, APPROVE A PROJECT CONTINGENCY OF $41,995, AUTHORIZE A TRANSFER OF $95,303 FROM GENERAL FUND (FUND 001) TO CITY CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND (FUND 301), AND AUTHORIZE A BUDGET APPROPRIATION FOR $95,303 TO 301-0910-682-4251
CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, on December 18, 2023 City Council approved the Request for Proposal/Qualifications for professional consultant services for CIP 301-682; and WHEREAS, the Request for Proposal was advertised and six (6) consulting firms submitted proposals; and
WHEREAS, as a result of a Qualification Based Selection process, WRT Design, LLC was selected by reason of their in-depth project understanding, experience and specialized skills to provide the services desired by the City; and WHEREAS, the terms and fees of the consultant agreement for $419,949 and necessary 10% contingency ($41,995) have been negotiated and determined reasonable based on the scope of services to be provided; and
WHEREAS, funding in the amount of $366,641 is currently available in the approved project budget; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foster City does hereby authorize:
1. The Mayor to execute the agreement with WRT Design, LLC in the amount not-to- exceed $419,949 for the development of a Parks Master Plan for the Parks Master Plan Project (CIP 301-682);
2. A project contingency in the amount of $41,995 with authority given to the City Manager to execute contract amendments up to the contingency amount.
3. A transfer of $95,303 from general fund (fund 001) to City capital projects fund (fund 301) and authorize a budget appropriation for $95,303 to 301-0910-682-425. 2 0
