A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR A CITYWIDE
PHONE SYSTEM REPLACEMENT
CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, the City’s current Shoretel phone system was purchased in 2013 and is due for replacement; and
WHEREAS, Mitel has announced the planned end-of-life for all Shoretel premise- based PBXs by 2029; and
WHEREAS, a replacement system will provide a reliable communications platform to support the City’s operations; and
WHEREAS, the Request for Proposals has been prepared and is ready to be issued; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in the Information Technology Internal Services Fund (#504).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foster City does hereby authorize the issuance a Request for Proposals for a Citywide Phone System Replacement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED as a resolution of the City Council of the City of Foster City at the regular meeting held on the 6th day of May, 2024, by the following vote:
