A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY
APPROVING THE REISSUANCE OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CALL FOR BIDS FOR CIP 301-716 STREET REHABILITATION AND PARK PATHWAY RESTORATION PROJECT (2023-2024) AND FINDING THE PROJECT EXEMPT FROM CEQA UNDER SECTION 15061(B)(3) AND 15301(C) –
EXISTING FACILITIES
CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, at the meeting on April 15, 2024, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2024-26 approving the plans and specifications, and authorizing the Call for Bids for CIP 301-716 Street Rehabilitation Project and Park Pathway Restoration Project (2023- 2024); and
WHEREAS, zero (0) bids were received and opened on May 9, 2024; and WHEREAS, the plans and specifications have been modified based on industry input and schedule constraints to create a more competitive market for the project; and WHEREAS, portions of the scope that were removed are anticipated to be completed in 2024-2025; and
WHEREAS, the revised CIP 301-716 consists of street rehabilitation, pavement maintenance, and paver and bituminous layer repair at various locations identified by City staff; and
WHEREAS, approximately $2,033,379 is available for construction and inspection services for the revised proposed scope; and
WHEREAS, based on the Engineer’s Estimate, adequate funding is available for construction of the project, inclusive of bid alternates 1 and 2; and WHEREAS, construction is anticipated to begin in August 2024; and WHEREAS, the project is categorically exempt under CEQA Sections 15301(c) – Existing Facilities and 15061(b)(3) pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foster City does approve the reissuance of plans and specification and authorize the call for bids for CIP 301-716 Street Rehabilitation Project and Park Pathway Restoration Project (2023-2024).
