Hi Kevin,
I am one of the commissioners on the San Mateo County LGBTQIA+ Commission. I wanted to reach out to learn about the initiatives and efforts that Foster City (Council) is making to create more visibility and inclusion for the LGBTQIA+ inhabitants of the city. More specifically, I request the issuance of a proclamation for Pride Month and raise the progres Pride flag in June 2024.
I'd be happy to join the city council meeting(s) as a member of the public and share the relevance of visibility, especially in the context of recent events in Half Moon Bay and how it can help provide a sense of safety and support to the residents of Foster city and San Mateo County overall. I see that you have a council meeting today and on Monday, 5/20 - let me know if either of those would be appropriate for me to join and raise this topic.
