RESOLUTION NO. __________
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY
AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR CITYWIDE JANITORIAL SERVICES FOR A TERM OF OCTOBER 1, 2024, THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2026 WITH OPTIONAL EXTENSIONS THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2029
CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, the City has contracted for janitorial services since 1995; and WHEREAS, the current janitorial agreement expires on September 30, 2024; and WHEREAS, City facilities are heavily used for a variety of activities, making it critical to find a vendor that can provide the standard of care and service levels the City requires from janitorial service; and
WHEREAS, the issuance of a Request for Proposals (RFP), will solicit contractors for Citywide janitorial services from October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2026, with the option to extend the term for up to 36 months through September 30, 2029, and find that this action is not a project under Section 15378 of the CEQA Guidelines, as the issuance of an RFP has no potential for a direct or indirect physical change in the environment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foster City does hereby authorize the issuance of a Request For Proposals for Citywide Janitorial Services for October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2026 with optional extensions through September 30, 2029.
