A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOSTER CITY
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A THREE-YEAR SOFTWARE
SUBSCRIPTION WITH ROUNDSTONE SOLUTIONS, INC. TO PURCHASE NUTANIX
HYPERCONVERGED SERVERS AND SERVICES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $100,252.90
CITY OF FOSTER CITY
WHEREAS, virtual servers help to support the operations of the City and server virtualization has been used since 2006 as a way to provide reliability and flexibility while also shrinking data center hardware requirements; and
WHEREAS, the City's existing servers are hyperconverged, and City staff recommends continuing to purchase servers that are hyperconverged; and WHEREAS, City Staff has evaluated options to deliver virtualized servers and issued a Request for Pricing in April 2024; and
WHEREAS, City Staff received competitive bids for the acquisition of equipment and recommends that the City purchase servers and services from Roundstone Solutions Inc. in an amount not to exceed $100,252.90; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in the Information Technology Internal Services Fund (#504) to cover the purchase of said equipment and services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foster City does hereby authorize the Mayor to execute a three-year software subscription with Roundstone Solutions, Inc. to purchase of Nutanix Hyperconverged servers and services in an amount not to exceed $100,252.90.
